2008 Calendar of Park Activities

May 23 - Park/Pool opens.  Call the Pool Office for hours: 884-2305

June 2 - Swim Team practice begins

June 4 - Swim & tennis lesson sign-up at pool office - 3:30 pm (Please have park pass)

June 13 - Pool summer hours begin: 10 am to 9 pm

June 14 - 10 am Relay swim meet at GPW

June 16 - 1st session swim & tennis lessons begin

June 20 - 5:30 pm swim meet GPS at GPC

June 21 - Annual Fishing Tournament; 6 am to 6 pm

June 25 - 5:30 p.m. swim meet GPS at GPW

Friday, Fourth of July - Annual fireworks display at dusk.

June 30 - 2nd session Swim & tennis lesson sign-up at pool office - 3:30 pm (Please have park pass)

July 9 - 5:30 pm; Swim meet GPS at GPP

Sunday, July 13 - Annual Community Splash Party; 1 to 4 pm

July 16; 5:30 pm Home swim meet vs GPF.  Swim Team Campout after meet & Outdoor Movie, followed by Pancake Breakfast at 6 am on July 17.

July 21 - 3rd session of tennis Lessons

July 22 - 9 am swim prelims at GPW hosted by GPW

July 23 - 5:30 pm swim Finals at GPW hosted by GPW

July 24 - 6 pm swim team banquet @ Barrister Gardens

August 1 - Life Guard Competition (Location and time to be announced)

August 4 - 4th session of tennis lessons

September 1, Labor Day - Pool closes for season

October 29 - 6:00 to 7:30 pm; Halloween BOOfest!

November 15 - Harbor closes for the season

December 1 - Ice Rink and Ski Hill open for season (weather permitting).

POOL IS CLOSED DURING HOME SWIM MEETS!

In order to be enrolled in swim classes, children must be toilet trained

and be able to stay afloat without the aid of floating devices!
